Construction Management Oversight
Our work consisted of the coordination and oversight of blocks of empty apartments that were in desperate need to be renovated. The process was to receive a block of approximately 8 apartments in different geographic areas and complete them in 6-8 weeks (about 2 months) to return them back to NYCHA and its residents.
The work included carpentry, painting, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, electrical fixtures, and managing site safety.
Our role: Provided daily report and be daily on site to supervise the work been done to the highest level of workmanship, we were the main point of contact of communication between NYCDDC / NYCHA and the general contractor to ensure issues were solved within scheduled time. Ensured site safety and site conditions were addressed immediately if any issues arise.
Mentored and guided the General contractor (MWBE) that needed assistance with documentation of the project.
Reviewed proposals issued by the General Contractor and ensured unit costs were per approved unit cost guidelines.
